Human Resource Development

The core competency of Lotus College of Optometry is human resource development in primary eye care. Lotus College of Optometry was Mumbai’s first four year degree level program. The College has worked closely for establishing Optometry in Maharashtra with Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra University. We have graduated over 300 Optometrists and trained over 450 community health workers for primary eye care and over 100 special educators for low vision care. School of Optometry was established at Shree Ganpati Netralaya, Jalna District Maharashtra. Faculty development is also done for countries like Tanzania and Zambia.

Corporate Training and Practitioner training program at par with the industry standard is also offered by Lotus college. Few of our corporate training volunteers were FedEx, Stanchart, Johnson & Johnson and companies like Hoya, Transitions have undergone practitioner training at Lotus.

Lotus College is also ISO certified for design and development of new courses and will be able to develop a CBR program for community health workers.
